A mid-sized penguin species, the Adélie penguin, is distributed all along the Antarctic coast and are among the most southerly distributed of all seabirds.
They stand in at approximately two feet and can swim at speeds of 8 km/h.
Due to the isolated location and diet of this penguin, the fecal microbiome may present information about fat storage.
