Lake Hillier is a lake known for its permanent pink colouring found on Middle Island, the largest island in the Recherche Archipelago of Western Australia.
The colour does not alter when a sample of the water is collected in a container, and the source of the pink colour has not been definitively identified in the case of Lake Hillier.
Ken McGrath has led sample collections from the lake.
